Three people were taken to hospital and a home is badly damaged after a car crashed through the walls of a townhouse in North York on Thursday night.Emergency crews were called to a townhouse complex on Parkway Forest Drive, just south of Sheppard Avenue, just before midnight.Toronto Fire says a vehicle crashed into the first floor of a home. Paramedics said five adults sustained minor injuries. Toronto police tell CityNews the driver of the vehicle and two people who were inside the home were brought to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.The car involved remained at the scene and could still be seen inside the home as of early Friday morning. AUSTIN (KXAN) — More than 800 fireworks complaints were made to Austin 311 over the New Year's holiday.Between Dec. 29, 2023, and Jan. 1, 2024, Austin 311 received a total of 841 firework-related service requests. South Austin had the most fireworks complaints over Fourth of July holiday A breakdown by zip code shows which parts of Austin submitted the most complaints. The three zip codes with the most complaints were all in north and northeast Austin: 89 complaints in 78758, 63 complaints in 78753 and 58 complaints in 78754.More than 50 complaints were received from both 78748 and 78744 in south Austin.At least one complaint was received from a total of 38 zip codes across the city over the holiday period.Austin 311 received fewer complaints over the New Year's holiday than the Independence Day holiday period in 2023. (NEWS10) -- The Great Barrington Police Department is attempting to identify the driver of a truck involved in a hit-and-run property damage crash that happened around 9:16 p.m. Wednesday. ST. LOUIS - The director of the St. Louis City Health Department recommends a face mask on Friday morning as respiratory illnesses are rising in the area.The director there says that respiratory illness data shows significant increases and more precautions are needed to avoid straining our healthcare system.The city health department director is recommending that all residents wear face masks when indoors in public spaces and in crowded environments where social distancing is not possible. This recommendation comes after increases in the area of illnesses, including the flu, RSV, and COVID-19.We're told that while none of these viruses are new or more deadly than in the past, the rapidly rising number of cases and hospitalizations is cause for concern. MACOUPIN COUNTY, Ill. - A slow-speed police chase from Macoupin County, Illinois, ended on I-270 in north county.This happened around 9:00 p.m. Thursday. The driver was taken into custody at Interstate 270 and I-70 in Hazelwood. Billy Joel and Sting coming to Busch Stadium for September concert Police say he choked a woman in the small town of Lake Ka-ho in Macoupin County, near Mount Olive.
